- Okays 4 judges as heads of courts
- Recommends 14 others for appointment into Federal and state high courts
The National Judicial Council (NJC) on Thursday recommended the appointment of four justices of the Court of Appeal into the Supreme Court bench.
The Council also okayed four judicial officers as heads of courts while 14 other judicial officers were recommended to President Muhammadu Buhari for appointment into the federal and state high courts and the Sharia Court of Appeal.
On the list of those recommended for appointment into the Supreme Court bench are Hon. Justice Adamu Jauro, JCA, (North-East Zone); Hon. Justice Emmanuel A. Agim, JCA, (South-South Zone); Hon. Justice C. Oseji, JCA) (South-South Zone) and Hon. Justice Helen M. Ogunwumiju.
The Council also empanelled committees to probe eight judges over allegations of professional misconduct.
