Operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) on Tuesday stopped men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from arresting sacked Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayo Oke and the immediate past Director-General of the DSS, Ita Ekpeyong.
The incident which occurred in the Asokoro area of Abuja on Tuesday created a mild tension.
The anti-graft agency had stormed the residences of Ayo Oke, sacked director-general of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), and Ita Ekpeyong, the immediate past director-general of the DSS, in a bid to arrest both men.
But the operatives attached to the two top security officials however resisted the move, resulting in a heated argument.
