Kumuyi to Nigerians: Shun corruption or face eternal damnation

The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has advised Christians to shun corrupt tendencies in their dealings.

Kumuyi made the call on Sunday at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

He said the advice was necessary to avoid eternal condemnation.

He said corruption should not be part and parcel of peoples’ lifestyles in the country, adding that though corrupt people are hiding now, but God would exclude them from the Kingdom of heaven.

He enjoined Christians to consider Christ as their High Priest, who is sinless and holy, and who came to the world to redeem humanity from the power of sin and the consequences, stressing, at salvation, He normally comes to dwell with believers.

The cleric stressed that Christ is building individuals, families and the national life so that good things would follow.

He admonished Christians to avoid backsliding and compromise, but to continue with Him in order to conquer.

Esho added that Christ is supreme, as his sacrifice on the Calvary cross has purchased eternal life for man.

“Therefore, if any man be in Him, he is a new creature, old habits are passed away, and behold all things become new.’’
