He also called on all other aspirants who lost to Nwoye to support him and help the party to win the race.

He said: “As a party, a lot of our party faithfuls had worked for other aspirants during the primaries including my humble self who worked for Uba but no matter the affiliation of any party member prior to the primaries, our success at the coming elections depends on how quickly we will close ranks move on as a reconciled family and one indivisible party.

“I wish to use this opportunity to call on our most distinguished Uba to accept the outcome of the exercise in good faith as an act of God, and to extend his hands of fellowship to Nwoye as a father figure to pave the way for a true reconciliation reconciliations on which our great party will clinch the victory in the next election.

‎ “As the delegates of our great part have clearly made their choice by choosing and as he starts the journey towards Government House Awka, we must all make every conscious effort towards reconciling all parties involved in this exercise so that together we can form that formidable force which can achieve our collective aim of taking over the affairs of our dear state.”

According to him, leaders of the party like Dr Chris Ngige have a total responsibility ‎to reconcile the party and bury all hatchets towards the battle ahead.

“Nwoye on his part must show uncommon maturity, magnanimity and loyalty in victory by reaching out to all to enable peaceful reconciliation and fence mending as this is the only way towards our victory come 18th November,” he added.

Okeke said that like the APC’s symbol, the broom could only act effectively when united adding that only a total unity could sweep the party to victory.

He said: “There is no room for division now and anything short of total reconciliation will be fatal to our future.”
