After months of accusations and counter-accusations between the immediate past Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase and the incumbent, Ibrahim Idris over missing exotic police vehicles from the premises of the Nigeria Police Headquarters, some of the controversial vehicles have re-appeared at the Louis Edet House.

Idris had accused Arase of retiring from service with a fleet of 24 vehicles when he was entitled to only six or thereabout.

Arase had fired back, saying there was no truth in Idris’ allegation.

He had said that all the vehicles that were said to be missing were captured in the handover note as some of them were in mechanic workshops for maintenance.

He had added that  there was no way he would have gone with such number of vehicles when he was not retiring into car business.

Both parties had issued press statements and addressed newsmen over the matter.

But a couple of days ago, it emerged that indeed vehicles that were more in number than Arase’s entitlement were actually taken away.

Saharareporters was able to get pictures of some of the vehicles as captured above.
