Nigerian scholar unveils AI platform to simplify thesis writing

In what experts have described as a significant breakthrough in academic research support, Thesisprofs has announced the official launch of Thesis SpeedWrite, an artificial intelligence-powered academic writing system designed to simplify and restructure thesis, dissertation, and scholarly writing.

The platform, scheduled for launch on June 4, 2026, was developed under the leadership of Professor Isaiah U. Ilo following years of research and observation of the challenges students encounter in academic writing across Nigerian universities.

Unlike conventional AI writing tools that focus mainly on text generation, Thesis SpeedWrite introduces a structured academic workflow that guides users through topic refinement, project planning, literature organisation, analysis, drafting, and revision in line with accepted university research standards.

According to the developers, the platform is aimed not only at helping students write faster, but also at restoring clarity, structure, and academic direction to the research process.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Professor Ilo described the initiative as a timely intervention for students, supervisors, and institutions grappling with the increasing complexity of research writing in the age of artificial intelligence.

“For years, many students have approached research writing with confusion, fear, and uncertainty, not because they lack intelligence, but because the process itself has become fragmented and difficult to navigate,” he said.

“Thesis SpeedWrite was developed to change that. We now have a system capable of simplifying the research journey for students while improving supervision, structure, consistency, and academic efficiency within universities.”

The platform features integrated tools for structured planning, literature management, guided reading, and revision support, all designed to help users produce coherent and academically defensible research work.

Thesis SpeedWrite will be accessible through web browsers, making it available to students and researchers within Nigeria and beyond.

The official unveiling, scheduled to hold at the University of Abuja on June 4, 2026, will include a live demonstration of how users can move from a research topic to a fully organised academic manuscript using the platform’s guided workflow.

Interested users have also been encouraged to join the early-access waitlist ahead of the official release.
