Law School begins screening for Bar resit candidates ahead of November 26 Call to Bar
The Nigerian Law School has commenced online screening and clearance for successful candidates in the May 2026 Bar Final Resit Examination ahead of their Call to Bar ceremony scheduled for November 26.
The Council of Legal Education, in a public notice dated November 5, directed the candidates to complete the screening and clearance process on or before November 20, 2026.
The ceremony will hold at the Body of Benchers Complex, Abuja.
According to the notice published on the Council’s official social media platforms, candidates are required to visit the screening portal at https://nigerianlawschoolclearance.com/ and click on the “Get Started” option to confirm their eligibility.
They are to enter their Law School Application Numbers and Examination Numbers, after which their records will be retrieved.
Upon successful retrieval of their records, candidates are expected to copy or save their Transaction Numbers and click on “Proceed to Payment” to pay the prescribed clearance fee, including the applicable transaction charge, using the bank details provided on the portal.
The Council advised candidates to ensure that their respective Transaction Numbers are correctly entered as the transfer narration.
After making the payment, candidates are required to email clear copies of their payment receipts to payment@nigerianlawschoolclearance.com, providing their full names, Law School Application Numbers, Transaction Numbers and dates of payment.
The notice stated that candidates would receive their login credentials, comprising their Application Numbers and passwords, through their registered email addresses within 24 hours of payment confirmation.
With the credentials, candidates are expected to access the student login portal at https://nigerianlawschoolclearance.com/student-login.php to complete the required online forms.
The Council directed them to complete and submit the Alumni Form before proceeding to fill and submit the Clearance Form.
It also listed an Alumni fee of N25,000, payable through its designated Remita account, and a Body of Benchers Call to Bar fee of N40,000, payable into a designated Zenith Bank account.
The account details for the latter payment are: Body of Benchers Call to The Bar Fee, account number 1015715697, Zenith Bank.
These payments are separate from the clearance fee payable through the screening portal.
The Council urged all successful candidates to complete the entire screening and clearance process by November 20 ahead of the November 26 ceremony.
Candidates experiencing difficulties with the process were advised to contact the support team through support@nigerianlawschoolclearance.com.
This version reads as a conventional newspaper report while preserving the sequence of actions candidates must take.
