The Burial Committee for the late Chief Sir (Dr.) Paddy Kemdi Njoku, KSS, KSJI, popularly known as Omenukoaku, has announced the funeral arrangements for the distinguished administrator, community leader and Catholic knight, who died in May 2026 at the age of 75.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Njoku family, the committee said the funeral activities would begin with a Requiem Mass on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Catholic Church of the Assumption, Asokoro, Abuja.
The statement added that a Service of Songs and Night of Tributes would hold on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Boardwalk Fun City, Plot 1001, Ibrahim Tahir Lane, Utako, Abuja.
According to the committee, the final funeral rites will take place on Thursday, August 13, 2026, beginning with a Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Okwunakuwa, Uvuru, Aboh-Mbaise, Imo State. He will be laid to rest immediately after the Mass.
The committee invited family members, friends, professional colleagues, associates, community leaders and well-wishers to join the family in paying their final respects to the late Chief Sir (Dr.) Njoku, whose life was dedicated to service, integrity, faith and community development.
The funeral announcement was signed by the Chairman of the Burial Committee, HC. Engr. (Dr.) Johnny O. Chukwu, FNSE, FASEN, FIPAN, retired Federal Permanent Secretary, Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
